Different. It's a little hard to tell from those pictures. I think it would be nice if the ridge was carried through to the "cut out". Slap and even coat of primer on there and it will be easier to see.

Wow, very original thinking! Pretty interesting look.
Nice metal work.
Like Bouncy said, get some primer on it and we'll go from there...

I think it's cool, US Body makes an SS hood for these trucks, I think it's fiberglass.

Of course it does bouncy, the tire is flat

You do have a sharp looking Jimmy there. Most peope go to the Chevy grill when switching to the 67/68 style hood, I like the GMC grill!

Mine is actually the oilpan of a Continental 6-cylinder airplane engine. It comes up from under the hood. Someday, I plan to put the air cleaner in it and plate it off on the bottom so it sux in cool, fresh air. I'm also putting a tach in it.

That looks like pretty good metal work!

Just out of curiosity does any one have any pics of our trucks with a true "shaker" style hood intake?

Looks good !Your truck has that aggressive stance, I been thinking of using 78 Z28 scoop with the correct matching air cleaner housing that seals tight for true cold air induction. Maybe tne maching fender vents. If anyone has these laying around by chance please let me know ,maybe we can work somthing out?a1gatorz@comcast.net
