Bucket Seat Upholstery
Well, now that I have ordered a set of bucket seats from a board member
for my 71 c10 my mind is planning out how I want them to look! .... The set Im getting is pretty well worn out and I know I will need new foam and upholstery anyway, so I thought I could have some fun with it. My idea was this: 71 style bucket seats with a center buddy seat with cup holders on the back of the buddy seatback I bought a 68 3pc seat and I thought I could just replace the old foam with a foam set for a 71 seat. Then cover the seats with nice new 71 vinyl covers. The bummer would be that I need to redo the buddy seat too, and the 71 cover sets do not have the buddy cover. Plus I would really rather not have the scrollwork. I do prefer the deeper bucket from the 71 seats though. Ive been looking around and have seen lots of trucks with new vinyl without the scrollwork, but when I look at the sites that sell the covers they all have vinyl. Here is a pic of one I saw.. Any ideas where I could get a nice 71 style cover with no scoll? Or a buddy seat cover by itself? Is my idea crazy? I guess I could always take it to a shop, but I would rather do it myself if I can.

I still need to put them in, but I need to restore my console first. If search was working I would show my before and after pics.

Those do look nice, do you find the cloth top more durable or comfortable?
