Tool Box find
The other day, I found a 72 Chevy with the side tool box on the bed. The door was gone, but the inside liner was all there and not cracked. It looked to be fiberglass. Is this true? Don't know anything about these. Was wondering if this is a hard piece to find in this condition, and should I take it out and save for a trade piece down the road?

Yes, they hard to find in good condition, but the door is kinda
like tow hooks, find an OE one in good shape and you got $$$ ![]()

You should get it.They are usually not in bad shape unless there`s been an accident or serious abuse.Still worth getting. In fact,I`d be interested in it.

Took me four months to find new hinges for mine. Not sure if I could find anymore if I had to. My door is back at the shop, and it scared me to leave it there. A fiberglass repro is $300.00, add $200.00 for the three woodgrain moulings, hinges $55.00 (what I paid) and a new lock and pawl. Ching- ching. Should be getting it back today. It had a couple small paint blisters. I was told one week, its two and threes drives there leading to three broken promises. The truck was a two week job, but spent four months at the shop.
