Doors don't close right...
Both the doors on my '79 won't close unless I slam them *REALLY* hard...that can't possibly be good for them.

Probally two things that are wrong with it -- The strikers and the hinges.
Strikers are easy to adjust, just loosen them up, and move them around as needed ![]() Hinges will be worn out, and will need to be replaced. If I remember correctly they cannot easily be rebuilt...

New strikers are about 8 or 9 dollars last time I checked. Can be had at local parts stores.

On my strikers I used a piece of rubber hose. If you lived close I would help with your doors for free. And that goes for the people that live Arizona too. Matt

On the striker I removed the big washer and put on a piece of ( I think ) 5/8 heater hose about 1 inch long. Now I got to say this I am very che ( thrifty ) I make what I have work. And I work around car all day I get things done, to redo my own truck and replace every thing would get very costly and it adds up quick so any thing to save a buck or 2 or 3. Matt
