What year truck do you have? Most of these era trucks bodies are already very similar heigt to the frame, not requiring a body drop. If you are set on doing one though it is a pretty involved process. You have to cut out the entire floor and section everything accordinly to the desired height, including the firewall, bed, core support etc. Like I said, a preety extensive job, that on these trucks shouldn't be required to lay rocker. Hope that helps.

Can't you install thinner body mount rubbers on the core support and cab, effectively dropping the cab/front clip down on the frame? Then modify the bed mounts or raise the bed floor to achieve the same thing? I see at least an inch if not more that could come out of my mounts, they are pretty tall.
Just a thought............ |

Thinner mounts wont gain you too much, without setting the cab right on the frame. I did a 1 1/2 " channel job on my 69.....it dont sound like much, but she also has a 4" chop top. You run out of room in a hurry, if you arent careful! My method didnt booger the complete cab, but just the center section of the floor. Lots of work. but little cost out of pocket. I agree with XXL....talk with Lotik on that 3" stock floor body drop that he did on his truck......slicker n chit, & he didnt loose any room inside the cab (as far as seating). There was a good amount of frame work on that drop tho best of luck, L
