Radiator Support Mounts
Can someone post a pic of the correct way to install the radiator support mounts? I can't find it in my chassis overhaul manual and I let my assembly manual go with my last truck. thanks.

Here are a couple of pics that I mocked up with parts that I have on hand.
The first pic is of the components of a stock radiator mount. The carriage headed 7/16-14 x 4 bolt fits into a retangular 1/8" thick small plate that has a square hole for the carriage head to fit in The radiator support is sandwiched in between the small plate and the clip/cushion assembly. (The clip holds the bolt plate and cushion to the radiator support). The cushion assembly sets on top of the frame support and there is a tubular spacer spacer that goes into the cushions, (both upper and lower) to prevent squeezing the rubber cushions too much. The lower cushion fits against the bottom of the frame support and then a washer and nut is used to hold the whole assembly together. The second pic shows the cushion assembly as it mounts up to the frame support. Jim |
