Factory Dealer installed options From GMC in '69
I think the thread name says it all.
I found these in the back of my owners manual. Cool stuff huh? Notice the pull out bumper, some one was just asking about this a few days ago. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Another interesting thing...the arm rest, aux springs, tow hooks, radio, rearview mirror, power steering, wheel covers, ect...were all also factory options. I find it interesting that tehy would offer these things AFTER the sale too.

I think I have one of those portable spotlights, if I didn't throw it away when it quit working. I had no idea it was a Chevy option!!!!! I hope I still have it.

I was able to buy the side step and a tire lock, both NOS off of Ebay. Paid $16 for the step and $12 for the lock.

I've seen only one pickup with the air horn option. It was a GMC half ton LWB. I don't remember what year the pickup was, it's been several years since I looked at it. It was loaded with about every option available and was black inside and out. I didn't buy it due to extensive rust.

My C30 CST has the pull out rear bumper, and did have the 8 track, the 8 track paperwork was with the truck, but the player was gone. Cool info there. I did not know the rear bumper was offered, I thought it was after market.

My truck was an original `69 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 with a Dana 60 rear axle with factory installed Detroit Locker. I was told its one of about 1000 made. I was putting a clutch in it last summer in front of my uncles garage and ended up learning a hard lesson in procrastination. Me and my cousin were almost finished and I decided we could wait till the next day. That night there was 70 to 100 mile an hour winds that blew a bunch of trees down and one of them happened to be a 65 foot cotton wood that landed in the middle of my cab. Now I am building a full out custom with it. I'm tearring it to the ground and putting a Dana 60 in front, 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift, I'm custom building massive bumpers, getting a fiberglass 67 hood with the brand new Trans Am Ram Air hood scoop, and painting it bright red (anyone got suggestions on the brightest red paint I can get?) with black gold metalflake flames. I'm doing it all myself. The powerplant I hope is going to be a 348 big block. The body style is a long box stepside.
