F/S: 454 BBC and 3/4 ton drivetrain
1970 454 Big block chevy
I bought a truck with this engine already in it going with a small block for right now. everything i know about the motor .30 over bore fully blueprinted and balanced 10:1 pistons closed chamber rectangle port heads (which brings the compression up to 11:1, so 93+ octane is a must) .5?? lift edelbrock cam aluminum edelbrock performer intake new edelbrock 750cfm carb stock style manifolds MSD distributor and plug wires Motor has maybe 50 miles on it. Only thing i know it needs off the top of my head is the alternator bracket rigged up , or a new one installed, the one on it was "made" to work. Located in Independence, KY The motor is still in the truck, so you can hear it run. Asking $3200 but no reasonable offers will be refused I also have a 1968 chevy lwb k20. closed knuckle dana 44 front axle, eaton 10 bolt in the rear both with 4.56 gears, 4 speed, 205 transfer case, and a solid frame. Like new american racing rims with half bald all terrains. The truck originally came with a 327 from the factory. The body is still on the truck but is pretty much shot. Dog house is decent but cab and bed are junk. Factory buddy bucket seats, need new foam and recovered. Also have the orginal tires and wheels. Original factory AM radio. Asking $2000 or best offer Or you could take the whole truck with the big block still in it for $4250 Thanks for looking JT Jones jonesy_atv@fuse.net

SWEEEEEEEEETT!!!!!! How much for just the buckets...LOL? Nice uncut dash with stock radio! Cool original valve covers on that 454! What size are those stock wheels with the clips for the original hubcaps?

The numbers off the front pad under the passenger side head read C8P322908, I've looked around on the net and can't find chart with that prefix. If you have any luck, let me know. Where are the codes on the back of the block? Might it be possible for me to get to them and read them? Thanks JT Jones

The front pad #'s make no sense. The casting # is on drivers side rear of block
on the flat. just follow the rear of the head straight down it will be there. But with the engine still in the truck it is going to be hard. Let me know, Dave Last edited by 69-z28; 08-18-2005 at 07:48 AM. |
