New member needs ideas?
I'm currently working on my motor that I will be installing in my 68' burb. It is a 327 with a super charger and am looking into having nos installed I want this machine to really pull when I race It has trouble burning the tires since I have 24in. rims on this bad boy!! Its really nice with a flame paint job and spinning rims I got the ladies screamin my name! Do you think installing the nos is worth the extra money? or should I lift it and get more chrome? I'm really mechanically incline so I do all the work myself so any ideas are very helpful thanks

24" rims and "burning the tires off" don't usually go together. Depending on the design of the wheel, aren't you concerned about shearing those things off at the lugs?
Some pics would be helpful....but I am pretty sure I wouldn't raise it up to put bigger rims on it....I would try and modify the wheel wells so I could tuck more under there!

Do us a favor, don't cross post. I responded to your message in the engine area.

**I am sure Grendel is not jumping on your case...but it is clearly stated in the rules...and because "pushing the envelope" on the board is becoming a bigger and bigger issue lately, the moderators are starting to tighten down on the infractions. This is a great place and the moderators do a great job (not to mention that they are pretty nice folks, as well). Naturally, they don't LIKE having to punish anyone...but they WILL if need be. If you haven't already done so, you might want to skim over the rules. Link to the rules -> Rules QUOTE: XIV. If you want to race it, take the bling rims off. They will never hook.
