intresting name choice
![]() no way to tell really there are too many variables such as suspension setup, traction, weight of your particular truck, ect

I think you need a diff screen name first of all...too confusing.
![]() I was like, "wtf is he asking this kind of question for...he should know this". But then I realized this was low 84 without the space. Is the 420 at the crank, or rear wheels? My truck ran a best of 14.6 @ 92, and was making around 300 or so hp at the crank. I also had 4.10 gears, posi, and drag radials

Alright is there a way for a mod to change my screen name or do I have to be a newbie all over again?
About the truck I know there is alot of variables that determine the time, but I am just looking for an estimate like whole seconds. Maybe 13 second range or so? I am planning on using 3.73s or 4.10s. I have been trying to get an idea from cardomain, but there are ALOT or liars on there so I can't really trust the hp #'s or 1/4 mile times. So I was just really asking if anybody here is pushing around that power. Or what times that you have run with what power? I am just asking for an estimate. Thanks.

You might look at trying to find a caculator online that might give you an rough estimate. Usually prestage.com has one but the website is down right now ![]()

![]() You should be in the high 13's, low 14's with 420 horse...but getting traction would be the key IMO.

my firend has a truck that had 296 hp at the rear wheels, his best time was 13.8 with street tires, it had 373's, and it would just spin the tires, he had cal-trac's too, know it has gotten alot of different things to it, built the motor again, he ran it on ethanol-methanol, what ever the crap it is and about a block and a half down the street at about 7,000 rpm he granaded the rear end, like i said it was basically brand new,new eaton posi, new ring and pinion new seals and everything, new axles, bam all that down the drain, now with the setup it has now he is hoping for high 10's which i think is doable, but this motor he has now has a whole lot more power, and trust me he can handle the power

I think I have about 300 or so at the crank. My best time with 3.73 an dposi is 14.51 @ 92....or something like that. This was with a 27" tire.
Edit: OK check out my sig and there it is.

Hey 82c10 how is the combination you have in the 357/voodoo cam working for you? Which voodoo cam did you choose? I was wandering how the voodoo cams compare to compcam, crane, etc.? |
