New motor plans
Well I have myself 98% conviced to sell my BB396 and build a BB stroker. I have my performance guy working on a list of parts. Going with a ESP 489 kit with H-beam rods, forged crank, pistions etc. Brodix BB2plus heads, Strip Dom intake, 850 Demon etc. It will be studded, ARP top to bottom, solid roller cam again, Comp cams SS roller rockers, girdle, Rattler dampner the works! All parts new but the block, unless I go with the Merlin III block I had him price, and it's in stock!! 540 stroker dout I'll need my NOS kit anymore, well it is allready installed, what could it hurt to use a little shot Can you say badass???? I could go on and on all night about it

Re: New motor plans
Sounds like a project. What kind of HP is your performance guy shooting for? Sounds like some good parts. Have you ever tried the Scat rotating assemblies? What trans/converter are you planning to run?
Thanks tg

Re: New motor plans
What do you want for the 396 if you go the other route? What can you tell me about it? Thanks

Re: New motor plans
Shooting for the 650hp range on pump gas, I run a TH350 with a 4500 10" converter.
Not sure on a price yet, I had a roller lifter go sideways on me and took out my cam. I'm having it tore down refreshed and the cam replaced, it is a solid roller setup with forged crank and pistons 10.1:1, fully ported oval port heads etc. around the 500hp mark I ran 12.94 in a all steel 71 long box. Incase you didn't notice I'm located in Canada, if your still interested PM me, I don't want to break any rules on selling items.
