Question how do i get it to hook?

im new to this board, need a little help with my pickup. this is all for my senior project for high school, im starting a year ahead of time to get what i want done.the truck is a 67 chevy shortwheelbase fleetside pickup. the engine is already taken care of, its in my signature. the engine will be putting out around 450 horsepower and 460-480 lb feet of torque so i know traction is going to be a problem. im already planning on bfg drag radials, im moving the gas tank from behind the seat to inside the bed, other than that im not sure of what to do. with this much torque im not sure if that is enough. any suggestions?my goal is a 7.7-7.8 in the 1/8th. is that possible with that much power?

thanks in advance!

tub it out, put polyurethane bushings in, put the battery in the bed, get rid of all the unnecessary stuff under the hood, heater, ac, wheel wells, fritn bumper then if you really wanna get serious start replaceing the front sheet metal w/ fiberglass from USBody. But doing half of that makes it not a good daily driver
