Headliners help with heat/noise????
Hello All,
I have my grandpa's 72 C10 and he ordered it farmer style down to the radio delete. After driving it for a few Phx summers now I am starting to debate a headliner. Thoughts??????? The inside of the cab roof is hot to the touch with the sun shinning and the noise in our trucks could aways be reduced. The question is will I get that ourt of a Headliner....if so where/what kit is best? Original or one of those setups with the speakers? Dynamat type sound deadener under or just the alum foil backed matting? Tell me Tell me ![]() 1 Leg Lance |

I went a while in the GMC without a headliner, and everything did sound a little more tinny. Not much, but enough to notice. (I installed a stock type one)

Hey , DMEC, could you post more pics of your interior. I like the headliner, very tasteful.

another headliner
Here is the one I just put in to match seats & door panels. It is Masonite covered with pleated material.

Simple interiors
These trucks have such simple interiors that they are very reasonable to do. Seat, door panels, headliner, dashpad cover...flat and easy for DIYS projects. I use an upholsterer that does these custom packages for me to resell...just for our trucks.
OK, the leather wheel & tilt does kind of defeat the cheap & simple theory...but we do have to spoil our trucks a little bit. Last edited by PICKMUP; 09-01-2002 at 03:57 PM. |
