Lazy Sunday....NOT!
Went to a car show (first time at this one) at one of our coast towns..Waveland, MS. It was there 2nd annual art crafts and rac show. Turned out great. It was small...may 20-30 cars. Ran across one guy with one of our trucks..He had a 68. This was his first time out with it since he started frame up. He doesn't have a bed yet and like most of us a long wany to go. I wish I had my camera (I expected to be bored at the arts and crafts booths with the wife and son.
He has the buckets from his 96 GMC duallie in the truck . Cab is pretty done. Not sure of exact shade, but I think it is the 1970 Chevy Black Cherry (remind me of my friends 70 454 Chevelle). he just dropped in a slightly warmed up 350 & turbo 350. We had a good talk and learn some good pointers from him and yards. One comment we both had is it so hard to find our trucks in yards or being fixed up because they are still many folks daily drivers & work horses....Like many of you have mentioned. It was a good idea (wife'). Whoever thought of putting arts and crafts to occupy the wife and the old car's to gether...Thank YOU. We didn't get a totally free ride. The Chevy had to earns it keep this after noon. Light job this time only three loads. Have good week end all. My rambling is over.
