Re: bed wood Q...
Andy, I used some rough cut lumber for my carport. I might be able to get enough for your bed. Run it thru a planer and treat it,should outlast the truck or you!!! LOL!!!!!!. Let me know and we'll set it up. Later Weasel

Re: bed wood Q...
I've never priced white oak, so I have no idea how much it would cost but it is the most rot resistant of the oaks.
If that costs too much, I'd say go with pressure treated lumber, for the money spent it ought to last a long time. Or for about $200 you can have a sheet of steel cut that will last forever.

Re: bed wood Q...
Speaking of wood bed floors.
Anyone have a link to a thread on here or a url to anyone who has converted a wood bed to any sort of metal floor. My bed wood is totally shot and I was thinking of some diamond tread and line-x but am unsure how to make up the difference in thickness and am sure I'm missing some other aspects of doing this. Thanks in advance ![]()

Re: bed wood Q...
I have a diamond tread pattern floor in my truck. It's 1/8" thick. Basically, I coated the bottom with spray-on undercoating and the top with spray-on bedliner, I dropped it in and drilled holes in 8 places to bolt it down. I don't have a picture of it but it turned out OK.
I'm thinking about going back with wood. Some of the floors in the pictures on this page look really sharp. However, the metal floor will stand up to anything and its already paid for, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
