Re: The Search has Ended. My new Burb!
Very nice burb. Probably one of the nicest four wheel drives I have ever seen. It looks beautiful stock with the nice tires.

I need to make it over the Burb board more often - some real beauties that I haven't seen on other parts of the board.

Re: The Search has Ended. My new Burb!
I got mine from Cheyenne Pickup Parts, their site is www.cheyennepickup.com. Do a search for "side trim molding" on their site and you will see the 3 choices they offer--I used the universal black w/top chrome strip pictured below. You may also be able to get this through your local body shop.

Re: The Search has Ended. My new Burb!
Beautiful Burb!
Just a suggestion: Why don't you try using some 3M Double-Sided tape to secure some nice original trim? I know a guy who stuck some aftermarket trim on his '72 Cheyenne. No offense, but I thought it looked kinda tacky. Just did not look "right". Hard to explain. Anyway, I haven't used any for this particular application. But, I have used it for emblems and it works great. And, NO HOLES to drill! Just be sure to use the type for automotive trim. You can buy it on-line, too. I'm not sure, but I think I bought it directly from 3M. Been a long time ago. T ![]()

Re: The Search has Ended. My new Burb!
I guess another thing I was considering when I went with the aftermarket trim was the price of buying new original-type pieces. Each piece can be quite pricey, and I think I only had one or two existing pieces that weren't all banged up and ugly.
Before I put the trim on my Burb, I had seen it on a '67-'72 pickup with a newer style bed (post '88). I thought it looked quite nice, and also liked the fact that it was still a Chevy style trim and was similar in color to the original trim.
