Strange driveshaft ?

I messed up a couple parts that bolt the driveshaft to the transfer yoke. It's a 203 transfer. The driveshaft has normal u-joints on both ends.It uses thick cast caps with threaded bolt holes. The bolts goes through the transfer yoke and threads into the caps.Kinda like a rearend yoke except backwards. What year and model used this set up?
Every 203 I've had or seen used the flat plate mount.

Re: Strange driveshaft ?

My 76 K-20 had the same set up it had the Dana 44 front with NP-203. I think that drive shaft is still laying around.

Re: Strange driveshaft ?

I believe its allways been saginaw vs. spicer....the later using half straps or ubolts...the saginaw used the plate.

Re: Strange driveshaft ?

Thanks.I was getting worried when all I was finding was the flat plate style.I'll start looking at the older trucks.
