original stock tire size

i'm sure this has been asked before....

what was the stock tire size for a 67 c20 with 16" rims?

what is the closest modern size to it? 235 75 16?

Re: original stock tire size

Probably 7.50-16 or 7.00-16 bias ply tires. 235/85/16's are really close, just a little bit wider.

Re: original stock tire size

so what about c10 67? Is the 7.5/15 equal to 235/75/15 ? I remember a buddy putting on G60's on a 67 back in the 80s and it was like a 4" drop(ha, ha) but the original bias seemed taller than 235/75/15's.

Are the 16's split rims?

Re: original stock tire size

My truck had 16" split rims on it and all the tires were 7.5-16's. They were about 31 or 32" tall. The 7.5-15's should be about the same height.

http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rain_ta_kd.pdf

235/75/15 = 29"

235/85/16 = 31.7" (or 31.8")

Bias ply not listed but IIRC, 7.50-16 = very close to 32"
