Re: eaton vs. corp 14
1978 Seville calipers are mounted as:
Drivers side to the front of the axle flange Passenger's side caliper to the rear of the flange I was there and removed these with him. The suggestions of the caliper swap are based upon his suggestions

Re: eaton vs. corp 14
RPOZ11: I used 1975 Chevy K20 front calipers. The brackest are setup for either these or the Caddy ones.I do not have a e-brake.I'm going to use a line lock of somekind. I do not have a proportioning valve.I was told by some to get one and others said it was a waste of $$$$. As I stated in an earlier post it will slide all 4 tires just fine .

Re: eaton vs. corp 14
a line lock is a very bad idea for a parking brake, and if you have a state safety inspection, it'll probably keep you from passing.
you can get one that mounts on your driveshaft. They are a real PITA, but if you need an E-brake, and you've done up your rear like this.... it's about your only way out. A line lock will bleed down...regardless of how good your set up is. A line lock also gives you no second system as an emergency brake. |

Re: eaton vs. corp 14
A local mechanic has one front and rear on his truck and hasn't had any problems. He's had it for a number of years. We don't have an inspection so I don't care. Why is it so bad? It's stronger than a cable e-brake.
