85 Front clip interchange questions - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I just bought a 85 K30 that needs a hood. Normally I play with older stuff and this is the 1st time I have owned a truck from this era/model. The hood grew a crack about 2 inches long in the front center and is warping on the Pass side. It's a bit ugly with a custom tube grille and dual headlights. What hoods/front end parts will interchange without a hassle?

any hood from 81-87 in the trucks will fit, and 88-91 blazer and suburbans...

most want the dual headlight front clips..the singles are a little less desired..but thats just a matter of taste

bigarmzz already answered your hood question. This should give you a clear understanding of what grill/light combo's pertain to what year...

Oh yeah, welcome to the 73-87 side of the tracks....

Thanks for all the info. I take a closed look in the daylight but I could almost swear I saw a single round headlight bucket (unused) in the core support. I main reason I got it was to be my TOW-PIG, it has a 350 Eldebrock crate motor w/ all the trimings Dana 60 front, T400 and a NP 205, G80 Locker in the rear and 4,10's. If I get this stuck it's my own fault....LOL
