Sometimes you just have to do this!
Remind yourself what it was you wanted to do and to check your progress along that path. It especially helps on a cold December evening to remind yourself that it is the journey not the goal line that is the enjoyment...Grasshopper...LOL!

Re: Sometimes you just have to do this!
It happens to me all the time. Many times I pull out all those pictures and take a look at them and remember all the many stages the project has been through and how I thought I would never get there. I've certainly enjoyed the journey.

Re: Sometimes you just have to do this!
Great reminder, of the overall goal. Mine is all in pieces, right now as I accumulate engine parts. I am probably not going to meet my initial goal for completion, but I am still making progress.
My truck is much better off all in pieces now than quietly rusting away to nothing and still a whole vehicle.

Re: Sometimes you just have to do this!
I am so with you ! Its a long hard road at times building these old trucks......yea , you know the end results are gonna "flat azz rock", but you also know that "toy" takes a back seat to all the bills/homestead/family, ect. over a long stretch of time, you really need to see the progress......have the fellow truckers boot you in the azz , to keep you going a few pics on then/now do help bigtime.......thanks for the "boot"! crazyL

Re: Sometimes you just have to do this!
I must have motivated myself since I stripped the inside of the cab AGAIN, washed it down with mineral spirits and am sanding the inside of it for prime and paint. Maybe this week? Cold temp really slows the progress. I did manage to take the Longhorn around the block for kicks! Carry on!

Re: Sometimes you just have to do this!
The cold definitely slows things down...
Check out the date on the pic. Worked in that vinyl shack all winter long that year... Your right about the path... Thanks for the reminder, off to those other projects that have fallen behind. |
