holley identification??
I came across a carb, and I think it might be an 'economaster' but I am not sure. The seller gives the following information "there is a #487 on the butter-fly, Other #s are 6R-5643B 1-8149-1 0220"
I think a 450 economaster would work nicely with my L6, and not bog down the engine like it does on some of the larger displacement engines it was previously run on, but I am not sure what this carb is. I have attached a pic below.

Re: holley identification??
excellent point, can anyone point me in the right direction for getting a rebuild kit? Would like to replace as much as possible, gaskets, secondary springs, jets, and anything else I may have over looked (will be my first rebuild/tuning of a carb).
Where is a good place to go to get advice on such a project?

Re: holley identification??
I'll running one of those carbs now on my 350. It came with the Truck, and still used the crossover choke ! It was also my first carb rebuild, and yes I was successful. Just take your time when rebuilding, and if you have a digital camera, use it to take a few pics. This will help you later on with linkages and more. The rebuild was easy. I bought my rebuild kit from the local speed shop. It's a genuine Holley renew kit for the 4360 Carb. P/N 37-1540. Hope this helps.

Re: holley identification??
where does the 7455 or 7456 numbers that I typically see associated with the 'economaster' cars come into play? And what is the difference between the two (or possibly with the one above, three)??
Thanks!
