1952 GMC Value?
Hello,
I just stumbled across this site and I was hoping someone could give a ballpark value for the following description. I found a 52 rusting away in a salvage yard not too long ago. All of the sheetmetal is there, but has no paint. It seemed to be surface rust only as I didn't notice any areas rusted through. The front and rear glass were gone. There was a large dent on the roof on the passenger side and a couple smaller dents here and there. I didn't bother to look under the hood to see if the drivetrain is still there, and the tires are buried in the mud so I couldn't look under it. Anyway, without much more knowledge of the condition and no pictures, where would you guys put the value? |

Welcome to the Board!
From what you've described, I wouldn't spend any more than 500.

Re: 1952 GMC Value?
Of course lower is always better when you run across a cool piece of old iron. I think todays prices you should be able to snag it for somewhere between 300 and 500 bucks, unless the seller feels it is more valuable of course. I bought my 49 about 15 years ago for a C note and it would run and roll. Those days are gone unfortunately! Give the seller an offer, say 250 and see where it goes. Be sure to have the cash with you so you can seal the deal. Strike while the iron is hot you know. Good luck and send us a pic if you can.
