Finally painted the cab
As I have been bragging for two weeks now, I did find a spot in the booth today and layed down the color on my 67 cab. Notice the smoothed cab seam.
This was the first coat on the interior This is part of the first coat on the cab. I had to refill the gun. Me putting on the 2nd coat. I will add a final coat after I get the front clip put back in place. |

Re: Finally painted the cab
It started as a 67 GMC LWB with a straight six and automatic. I have shaved the door handles and locks, removed the in cab tank and filled the hole and filled the cab seam. I shortened the frame and purchased a stebside bed from a 78. I plan to lower the truck 3" up front and 5" in the rear. I have located a donor 68 Chevy with a 283 and a 2 speed power glide. I have already swapped the front brakes for discs and the rearend for a 5 hole posi. I plan to install power brakes and steering. Who knows what else. Only time and money will tell.

Re: Finally painted the cab
Nice!
New 67/72 or a $50000 computer c truck? Good choice! If you ask me the government themselves are responsable for making and allowing these trucks and cars! They don't take blame for kissing the air quaility good bye. And in Canada when they steal $$ nobody does time? I love it ! God bless the 350..... I'm going to burn a good $4000.00 in fuel this summer! Put that in their pipe.... Anyways I feel better......That is going to be a great truck!

Re: Finally painted the cab
I always felt the same way about those who could paint, so at 42, I took an early retirement, invested the small lump sum and started auto body school. I just hope that doing what I love will pay the bills when I'm finished.
