Power steering swap

A friend of mine is looking at a 65 Chevy half ton 2wd for his son. It doesn't have power steering but he has access to a power steering box and setup off a 70 3/4 ton Chevy 2wd. Would that setup work on the 65?

I completed to conversion to power steering on my '64 C10 pickup back in the spring. So easy. Only took a couple hours. I used the steering box and pump off a 1985 chevy pickup. It almost was a bolt on. You have to drill a couple holes in the frame, plus build a small bracket. Very easy. Total cost for me was $160.00.

I suspect any steering box and pump will work up through the mid 80's. In 86 the changed from standard threads to metric, so be sure you get both box and pump from the same vehicle.

I can give you all the details of my swap is you wish.
