I've been thinking about using some 'Beauty Rings' on my 71/72 factory 16", 8 lug steel wheels. does anybody know if these wheels require a special trim ring or if any GM 16" trim ring will fit?
If anybody is already running this setup, it would be good to see some pics please. Thanks, 72longbed |

Re: Trim Rings for Factory Steel Wheels?
16" trim rings from newer Gm trucks WILL work fine. My white wheels with dog dishes looked good but there was too much white. I added the trim rings from a 90's model I had laying around and It broke up that white and looked great. I dont have a picture at the moment.

Re: Trim Rings for Factory Steel Wheels?
If you in fact have 16 inch rims, and they are not split rims, then they should work fine.

Longhorn Man,
actually they are 14.50" rims from a IH Combine, but I like to call them 16" rims to make myself feel bigger, and I like the way the 16" tires slosh around a little on the rim. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously, I know you don't intend any harm, but even some of us novices in the 67-72 world can figure out what size wheels are on the truck!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you can take a joke, Keep those pics of 16" Beauty Rings coming folks, 72longbed ![]() |
