roll pan help
im about to send my box to the body shope to get painted and im not sure what to do with the roll pan. the gaps are not the greatest as i have it fitted on and im not a big fan of the gaps on roll pans. id rather weld it up solid but im not sure if that is the greatest thing also becauser it will add more body work time, and i dont know if ill have future problems with craking or such were it is welded because of the stress put on the box. what do u guys think, alot of people weld there roll pans. i love the look of it but will i have problems with it?

i welded mine on it looks alot better that way i didnt even require very much body work. i've had no problems with it cracking and i use my truck as a truck, you should have no problems.

I would weld it up. The guys having problems are the ones running fiberglass pans. They are prone to cracking where they are chemically bonded to the box. You don't have anything to worry about if it's being welded in.

should i weld the box front up to ensure no moving in the box that will cause stress or no.
