I need a A/C condensor for 72 GMC, where can I get 1?
I need a condensor for 72 GMC 1500. I know that LMC truck has them. No one here in town can get 1. Anyone else know where I can get a new A/C condensor? Thanks!!

I got one for my 67 chevy truck from a guy on ebay. Here is the link to his store, does not have one for our truck listed right now, but email him and ask.
stores.ebay.com/Classic-Condenser-Specialists I was happy with mine, bolted right up, but had to bend the end of the lines 1/2" towards the grill but not that big of a deal... |

Maybe Arizona Mobile Air (I think they ship anywhere) or Old Air Products.

If John Fabris is happy with his it must be good. I think John is very particular about his parts(in a good way) and this would be a high recommendation.
Listen to John - Bob

I sent a message to the ebay seller and am awaiting a reply. Thanks for the lead, John!

Re: I need a A/C condensor for 72 GMC, where can I get 1?
I'm starting to get upset!! No luck with http://stores.ebay.com/Classic-Condenser-Specialists I sent the guy the payment almost 2 weeks ago, and still haven't heard a reply or received my a/c condensor. Now what? The company has 99% positive feedback. I sent the $$$ via Paypal and I have threatened to file a claim with Paypal.

The guy finally contacted me Thursday and said that he will ship it out on Friday. He is in California and I am in Indiana, so I hope to receive it by Friday, Feb. 17th. We'll see.

Re: I need a A/C condensor for 72 GMC, where can I get 1?
Here is another idea. Take a 73 and up and put inside your air box as I did. All the hoses hooked right up. On the inside of the box you will need to spray some insulation around the condensor to seal it off. The 73 was a little smaller than the 71 factory one.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

For future reference, I believe that some of the R-134 A/C kit makers offer condensors superior in size and cooling fin count than original 67-72 condensors to compensate for R-134's inferior cooling ability compared to the original R-12. I have yet to try one of their condensors, though. I'm still in research phase on this one.
