Late Model 6 lug wheels on a '67

I've got a chance to get some alloys off of a '01 Silverado and wanted to know if anyone had put the late model 6 lugs onto a '67 or similar. I've still got the drum brakes all around and don't plan on changing them out any time soon. Are there any backspacing issues?
Any pics you have would be great.

Thanks

i think the hub hole(the one in the center)is too small to go on our trucks, but the lug pattern is the same.you might beable to have a machine shop make the center hole bigger.correct me if i'm wrong, please!

My 00 Z71 has the rims I believe your talking about. If you look at the rim there is only about an inch maybe two from the face of the center of the rim to the outside of the rim. I agree with longhornman, they would be tucked into the fenderwells a lot and not look right, IMO. The white spokes I have on my 67 now come almost to the outside of the fenders and they have about 5 inches of "front spacing."

Re: Late Model 6 lug wheels on a '67

Thanks for the insight guys, I was sort of thinking the wheels for the disc brakes might be spaced strangely. Anyone know where I can find a set of 6 lug rallyes? I would like to have some wider and less crappy wheels than the ones I have now.

Get spacers for them and they will work. That will take care of the back spacing issue and you will not need anything machined. I've done it and so have tons of others. Depending on the backspacing i can give ya a good idea of what size spacers your gonna need.

I'd get new lugs and have the rear axle gone through before doing a 3 inch spacer.
Also check and make sure they are legal in your neck of the woods too.

Spacers are bad news, sure, amny have used them, but that doesn't make them any safer. It adds a butt load of leverage and stress on the wheel studs and on the wheel bearings.
