Greetings from Oz

Looks like I've found the right place to be. We have 2 projects going on at my house. We have a 1963 GMC longbed, 305 V6, 3 speed that was my father in law's and a 1972 Chevrolet short, step side with a 327, 3 speed.

My wife wants her truck, the 63, kind of restorodded. Slight lowering, power steering, power disc brakes. I'm try to convince her to replace the 305 V6 with something that is a little easier to find parts for.

The 72 is my 16 year old son's. It's a pretty decent old truck. Has a few rust issues but nothing too bad. He wants to do a ratrod. Suede black with painted wheels, a 4/6 lowering kit, indian blanket upholstrey. I told him it needs to have an inline six with split manifolds run through some glasspack mufflers. The 327 runs strong so an engine swap is way down the list.

As for me, other than being the crew chief on these projects, I'm into vintage Volkswagens, open wheeled dirt track racing, 60's era drag racing and hotrod motorcycles. I have a 2000 American Ironhorse Thunder with a 96" v-twin that has dynoed at 105 horsepower. It's a fun scooter.

See you all!
