If you havent replaced your U-Joints that might be a good idea, they do chirp like a little birdie and not just clunck when you put it in gear. Usually the chirping is due to dried out ujoints wanting to freeze up.

i never thought of that but ill check. i had both u joints changed when my driveshaft was cut for the 700r4 installation. maybe the guy forgot to lube them.
