Question Fuse box help! Loosing power in accessory slots?

The problem is with my 76, stock fuse box with glass fuses.

Ive now got the two constant battery power accessory plugins on the fuse box dead. One died a few years ago the other which was/is used for KAM on the stereo took a crap today. I've never had to tear into the fuse box in this truck before and I hate electrical work! What would cause this and what should I be looking for when I rip it out? Is there a fuseable link behind there? Any pictures before hand would be nice too!

I guess if you lived closer i'd help you fix it...
Usually these problems are of the tear it apart at start looking nature. However i'd get the 76 wiring diagrams and a good dvom and make sure the column mounted ign. switch is providing the proper voltage to the fuse panel to begin with...after that you'll have to pull the outside connector before you remove the two screws that hold the interior section to the firewall. There might be a jumper or something back there with a loose and or burned connection. The terminals in the panel are series 59 which look like series 56 but they are larger. Series 56 is like the headlight connections and the a/c clutch connections...

You still might have to remove the fuse panel from the firewall once you have figured out what circuit from the ign switch is acc so you can access it to see if it is providing power to the fuse panel...

Well, I finaly had a chance to pull the box loose. Looks like there are two different sources for power for the two plugs. Like you mention there is one that comes down from the IGN switch that I was using for the stereo and another that appears to follow the cluster wires up. The one that appears to go into the cluster loom is the one that went out a few years ago. I dident get to do too much though. I left my test light at work and by the time I got back home last night it was too cold in the garage to do anything.
