Question Help with Fuel guege electric diagrama

I have a fuel guage for my 67 chevy that I want to test it before instal it but I don't know how to run the wires. Some one can help me?

is pretty basic, one stud on guage gets hot side with key on and other stud gets variable ground signal from the sending unit

if you have a sneding unit from a gm vehicle laying around you can run ground off a battery to the structure of the unit and run wire from stud on the unit to stud on back f guage and run a second wire from hot on batt to the other stud on guage and then physiclaly moce he unit float arm and the guage needle wil move around depending on where you move unit arm.
