How much height can I lose with springs?

Hey. I have a few questions regarding coil springs to lower the front end.

I was wondering how much height I can lose with springs before the camber can't be corrected by normal methods. I was thinking like 3 inches should be safe? 85 c10 by the way

Also, I think it increases the spring rate when you cut them right? Because theres less legnth to twist. So if mine are a little loose feeling wouldn't that also stiffen them up a little by cutting them?

One more question- About how much height do you lose per coil cut off? Or maybe it varies for some

Thanks

-Jeremy
