hey guys,
i'm building a 71 so i'm clueless to what a restorable cab for a 56 chevy is worth. anyone care to chime in with an aproximent value and what to look out for rust wise? if your wondering why it's because i have been offered one for free if i remove it from the property. thanks in advance, ondrew p.s untill i have the cab in my hands it is NOT for sale. i am simply looking for information. if i decide to sell it i will post in the proper area. |

Re: 56 cab value?? >not a sale thread<
worth is a subjective thing. We need some pics when you get it. but 450 is not out of the picture for a good cab.
Rust areas are cab corners, fender bottoms, floor, rockers and steps just about any place you might think. A 71 rust in about the same spots. |

big window or small..........they rust in the usual area's but problem area's like the 67-72 are above the windshield and the lower front cab where the fenders bolt. Plus the hinge pockets , upper and lower. If it's free pick it up or take some pix.
depending............let me know thanks, Steve |
