Help please

Do you guys think that I'll be able to haul a 72 chevy long bed on the back of my ford f150 without taking the bed apart? if so any ideas how. If i flip it upside down and tie it down I'm afraid that it may slide left or right and fall in/or out of my bed.
thanks

Re: Help please

I once transported a lwb flipped over on top of a lwb and had absolutely no problems. But, I don't know about the sit. you're talking about. I used 1x2's in the stake pockets which kept it in place along with rope. Maybe you can use 2x4's across the bed and then lay the other bed flipped over on top of those if the boxes aren't the same size. Then just tie down with rope.

Re: Help please

I just hauled a LB to the body shop a couple of weeks ago. I set it across the bed of my truck so it stuck out about 1 1/2 feet on either side. I didn't flip it over. It stayed put for the 110 mile ride. I used some ratchet tie downs to hold it in place, but couldn't ratchet very tight without folding the quarters under. If you don't have far to go and the cops aren't too strict in your area, it's an easy way to go. Just take it sloooow.
