Brake booster push rod?
I recently bought a used brake booster for my 71 C-10 but I read somewhere that the booster requires a shorter rod to connect to the pedal. I can't seem to find where I can get this part. Do I definitely need a shorter rod and where can I get one if I do?

Re: Brake booster push rod?
you also have to drill a hole about an inch and a quater or so below the manual hole on the brake pedal arm to mount the power booster rod to. otherwise the rod will move to far and make the brakes really touchy. Something to do with rode leverage ratio, if I wasn't so beat I could explain better. If the set you have is used for a 71 the rod should be the right length when you drill the new hole. Plus the rod should have a bit of adjustment. Adjust it so it doesn't bind when the brake isn't applied

Re: Brake booster push rod?
Are you assuming that the rod came with his '71 set, or that he is using an existing manual rod?
I just bought a booster and bracket on e-bay, but it didn't come with the rod to connect to the pedal. If I drill the lower hole that you mentioned, will the manual brake rod work? Thanks.
