Re: headers '64-'66 trucks with 350 sbc and auto trans?
i had to go with the short block huggers because i am going to lay frame and need the ground clearance but on ebay there are full length headers for the 64-66 that clear the motor mounts i tried chevelle headers and monty carlo headers and they wouldnt work. hope this helps
on e-bay do a search for 1964 chevy truck that shoud bring up some or put in 65 or 66 |

Re: headers '64-'66 trucks with 350 sbc and auto trans?
I used headman headers on mine. my motor sits more forward cause i used the forward bolt holes on the chairs. I could not use block hugging headers. I do not have the part number. The LS header number one cyl. comes out and turns straight back and goes across the top to the back before it turns down. If that helps. can't take a picture cause truck is a state away right now. I will see if I can find a picture or model number

...I went with "flo-tec" full length coated headers available at most auto parts stores and through "summit".....

Re: headers '64-'66 trucks with 350 sbc and auto trans?
I had Headman on my 65. Worked well, no clearance issues. I have no need for them now that I have done my 5.3 swap. $75 plus shipping if anyone wants them...

Re: headers '64-'66 trucks with 350 sbc and auto trans?
I was looking for a set of headers for my 62 as well. It has front end off a 72 truck and a big block out of a camino. I saw that summit has there brand headers for big block 74 chevy trucks for only 80 bucks or something close to that. I dont see why they wouldnt fit on my truck/engine set up. Check out summit, they have some good prices on their brand stuff.
