The easiest way to do it is to swap the entire front clip.

I know you guys do things a little diferent than we do, but aren't you required to have a title... or registration... or a bill of sale? Wouldn't that have the year on it?
Do you have any pictures of the truck? If you had grill shots, under hood shots, and int pics... we could get it within a year. Or we could wait for Rod to come by, he is the man when it com,es to GMC VINs. I want to say it's a 69, but there's too many digits there for my decoder. |

Anything is possible if you have the patience and time to do it. Chevy and GMC were pretty much interchangable in the early years, not sure what year yours is though. The quick fix is just to grab a front clip off a chevy if you don't like body work. Dana

you probably have a fender off a 68 chevy.
69 and up would stick out like a sore thumb. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 06-03-2006 at 04:38 PM. |

The vin plate signifies whether it's a GMC or a CHEVY( At least on the large vin tags). Look at the very top.

How do you turn a GMC into a Chevy?
You Don't! GMCs have their very own sexiness. But it's your truck, best of luck with whatever you do with her. |
