Question Interchangability of dually wheel spacers 2wd & 4wd

Hey,

I'm new to the board and got kind of a hard question.

I'm wondering if the front end wheel spacers from a 1980 1 ton dana 60 can be used with the 2wd front end from the same year and model of truck.

I know they won't bolt directly on, but it appears the 3" piece where the inner spindle bearing sits is welded on(the piece the fits through the rotor when the wheel spacer is bolted to the rotor); therefore, it appears if I were to cut the weld off that piece could be removed. Being Chevy parts (as you all know how much chevy makes parts interchangeable or "adds onto them" to use the same parts for different applications), i thought it to be quite possible.

Or am I completely out to lunch and the two wheel spacers are completely different?

Thanks for the help

I never played with any 2wd stuff. Why do you need to rob stuff from a D60 front? Everything about them is expensive. If you could post a photo maybe we could get a better understanding of what your trying to do, or maybe you can get the answer in here:
