Little more progress...
New powdercoated stainless flex radiator hose came today, yes RED!!! Top is cut and installed permanently but the bottom I am going to wait until I get my inner fenders in to cut. Got the hood out of the bed of the truck where it's been for over a year. Hood and cowl are ready to install. Got all the devises to lift my bed up about 8' so I can do the fuel cell install. 2" steel pipe in the rafters and a 2 ton "come along" and up it goes. I'll post pics of that when it happens in the next day or two.

Do you mean the red radiator hose, it does say it's stainless. Ebay...type in flex radiator hose. It came in a 48" piece. Top piece is 24" and the bottom piece after the inner fenders are in might be around 16". It is very nice but it wasn't cheap, $72.00 delivered. It is available in chrome, red, and blue. It's sure been awhile! Here she is when I first brought her home. There is the SWB AC 72' K-10 in the driveway that I had to sell..

Re: Little more progress...
That's funny! The look on my face will be one proud papa! I know its Red..but it's Chevrolet Corvette Torch red!
Headers are Summit Ceramic coated, I think they are re-packed DynoMax. They fit tight but have to say they fit with nothing touching. P O had them on my K-10 and held up very nicely. So I put them on Lil' Red. thanks everyone for your kind words. The bed is off and the rear 3/4 of the frame is soaking in oven cleaner. Going to power wash it in a day or two and take the trailering arms and all the back half apart for paint. Frame will be hammered silver, differrential and driveshaft hammered black...and maybe some small tasty red and blue accents here and there....LOL! |
