Will mid-80's bench seat bolt into a 75???

Both trucks: are Chevy. Found a nice used bench seat at local wrecker, but NOT sure it's a direct bolt-in, or aht I'd ahve to do...anybody know? Thanks for any info on this!!!

It'll bolt right in. I did the same thing on a '76 I once had.

You might have a little trouble witht he seat belts. If I remember correctly the 85 has holes through the bottem of the seat for them while the 75 goes between the back and bottem.

Yeah, that's right, I did notice the liitle slots in the later model bench seat, and my old seat the belts just go between the cushions. The nice part about the later seat is it will flip forward for access behind the seat, while the original seat won't. Is it hard to get the older seat belts through the holes?

Hm, do I need to make sure that the newer seat track comes with the seat? I don't know yet if the wrecker considers that 'part' of the seat, or whether it would be an additional charge for it. Or if the new seat would bolt onto the old legs and tracks.

4 bolts and the seat and tracks are on the ground. I doubt that the wrecking yard will try to seperate them....
