Lightbulb rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

WELL MOST OF US !!!!! know that the wipes on these trucks are not the best product that GM ever put out..that being said..me and the wife were at menards.. local hardware store here. and the rain-x wipes were onsale, with the rebate there free if you mailed in the receipt.
well the wife bought them i did not really even notice.. till i got home..

well i tryed them...guess what it rained here today. holy crap,

i never had to even turn the wipes on. that stuff works great.
wipe it on..(wipes dry up quick) buff off haze with a dry towel.

i will be using them as a regular every time i wash my truck..

what a great product..they must have made them for our trucks

you ever used them ? note to self !!! try some you won't be disappointed

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

I have used the bottled RainX for years on the outside and the AntiFog inside. Excellent products. I know other people think I am crazy for not using wipers in the rain but to be honest, this stuff is so nice that the motion of the wipers gets in the way.
And I have always been told that new glass is not really smooth. It contains microscopic pores that hold gunk. Older glass (our trucks) that have seen years of abrasives like road sand and salt are even worse and therefore helped even more by this. It fills the pours to create a slick smooth surface.
I love the stuff.
Even use it on headlights and the bugs wipe off.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

We use rain-x too, neat stuff, but sometimes I think it makes the wipers chatter because the glass is too slick

Yup, that stuff works great. I used it about a year ago and it really helps alot! Antifog for inside is definately worth it to.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

Ever since I lived out in western Washington I've used the Rain X. I hate driving any car without it when it rains. I've also used it on my boat windshield and rear view mirrors and rear windows on the magnum and suburban where you get that dam spray up from the road.

Have been using Rain-X for years. When driving at any speed over 45, you really don't need to use the wipers at all. Another positive is that bugs won't stick so bad either.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

Rain-X is the best stuff since sliced bread.

I use it on all windows on all my cars. Headlights and rear-view mirrors too.

I've never tried the wipes but I always have a bottle in the shop. I wipe it on with one clean shop towel. Then I go around with another clean one and buff it a bit. One treatment lasts a couple of months.

Like hgs_notes mentioned, it is really nice with the road spray.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

My ex-father in law put rain-x on the bottom of his Ranger bass boat. He said it would accelerate faster and got more mph.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

I LOVE Rain-X!!! It works really well. It even helps keep ice from sticking as bad in the winter! I put it on all of my cars. The only thing I don't use it on is my Harley windshield. I've been told that it will yellow the plexiglass....don't know if it's true but I've heard it from several people.

I'll have to try those wipes sometime.

Re: rain-x window wipes WOW!!!!!!

I always put some on before a long trip, it sure helps if you get into some rain. Saves you from turning the wipers on when there just enough water to make mud and scratch the heck out of your glass on the first couple passes of the wiper blades. But that's not the main reason I use it, I like to be able to see!
