Re: Frustrated - I got some bad news today
From someone who paints...Good paint jobs are NEVER slapped on. And every buddy wants a $5,000 paint job for $100. You all know, good paint comes from time, time, time= Prep Work. If you can feel imperfections, paint only magnifies it. Be patient, it will all work out. It sounds like the guy (even in a bad situation) is working to make it right by being pro-active.

Re: Frustrated - I got some bad news today
Well good news today. I met with Randy, he is going to finish up the truck for me. We met up at Allen's (the painter) shop and went over everything. He is going to start on it this weekend. He said he hopes to be done in about 7 to 10 days. It will go together fast from there as I will be in control of that. I will be working every waking hour to get it done.
While we were there Allen's wife pulled up and Allen was in the car with her. They had just released him from the hospital this morning. He new we would be meeting at 11 am this morning. He then went over some more itmes and let Randy know where everything was. He had surgery on Sunday and has a good outlook on the whole accident. He will need several more but they want some of the swelling to go down in the ankle. He was told he will not be able to put any weight on the ankle for 4 to 6 months. He also had to have his arm plated and screwed. As scary as the news was at first it is turning out better than I thought it would. It is also nice to see that he wanted to make sure Randy, himself and myself were on the same page. I do not know if we would see this out of everyone who has gone through an accident like he has. Just thought I would keep you up to date. |

Sounds like you came out better than could be expected. It's nice to know that some people really want to be known as experts. This guy sounds like a great paint and body man and an outstanding individual. Good luck on getting her finished up and on the road.
