First, you need to look and see if the cover has 10 or 12 bolts. If it's 10 bolts, it's an HO52 with either 4.56 or 4.10 gears. You can get a set of gears and axles from a 14 bolt, I am told. If it's 12 bolts, it's a Dana and I don't know much about them. Best way to tell the gear ratio is to pull the cover and either find the ratio that is stamped on the ring gear or count the teeth on the ring and pinion. Dividing the numbers will give you the ratio.
