Accelerator cable for TPI
Was wondering if anybody could tell me what you are using for a accelerator cable for a 350 chevy tpi system. I have a 1970 c10 4x4. Thanks in advance Bill

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
Try using 71-72 throttle it is a cable not a rod, thats what I am going to use. It take a little work to adapt it but what doesn't.

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
I used the factory camaro throttle cable and just cut a square hole in the firewall to mount the cable itself.
I also used a 71-72 gas pedal as it had the right end on it for the camaro throttle cable. I'll post some pics if you need more info.

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
I used the Camaro throttle cable as well.
It is a little long but it doesn't affect anything,a little unsightly if anything. Here's a shot of it...see how it sticks up. ![]() Or you can go the custom route and get one from Lokar. ![]() http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/tc_kd.htm

Was it easy to install? How much,if any, mods did you have to make for it to work with our year trucks? Lastly,do you have the exact part# for it.

Very easy to install, no mods and hooked up to stock gas pedal. I can't find my receipt but after looking at the Lokar website I think it is 1000HT.

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
Mocwan,
I picked up a 86 TPI from a vette and am looking for some 86 L98 heads. I am going to put it on top of a 67 327. What cam did you use in your motor? Is your motor a roller motor? I realy like the Lokar Throttle cable. JRB |

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
Here are some Lokar throttle cable pictures on the TPI set up. I forgot that I actually ended up cutting the Lokar cable since it was too long.

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
Is the cable permanently attached to the end or is it in there with set screws?

Re: Accelerator cable for TPI
I used a cable off an early Riviera, and cut the cable to fit.
This was on a 71 4x4.
