Recent Picture of my Blazer.
I had to get some bagged top soil for my garden so I took the Blazer to get it. I managed to pack 1400lbs of bagged top soil in it. I rode like a Caddy on the way home from Home Depot. The suspension hardly sagged. While I had it in the yard I snapped this photo. Thought I would share.
I have a bunch more that I uploaded on my Cardomain page. Check out my signature for the link.

Re: Recent Picture of my Blazer.
That's a good looking blazer! I'm in the process of trying to buy one that needs a little paint.

Looks nice. Did you fit all the bags behind the rear seat?

24 bags (960lbs) went behind the seat. The remaining 11 bags (440lbs.) were placed in front of the rear seat.

Re: Recent Picture of my Blazer.
Real nice. What`s the story on you finding this beauty? Was it brought back east, then you bought it,Hemmings,Carlisle,Ebay,or traveled to CA and spotted it/brought it back? There`s always a tale, let`s hear it.BTW,looking at your pictures I had a thought. You were asking about seat upholstery. Are you keeping the carpet in a contrasting color?I think it sets it off nicely.Since you can get covers in any combo you want, why not think outside the box?You could go with the Olive vinly/Saddle`n`Black houndstooth inserts and the saddle colored carpet,if you replace that. Also like the color on the hard top.

Re: Recent Picture of my Blazer.
Nice looking Blazer I really like that color, and stance. 1400# wouldn't make a Rancho 3" sag just ride better. How do you like that Rancho lift? Is it an all leaf kit or does it have rear blocks, my experience with Rancho springs are that they provide a log wagon type of ride quility, but you can load it up like a 1 ton truck how's yours ride?

Re: Recent Picture of my Blazer.
That Special K likes the contrasting color... I have new four peice dark olive green carpet set laying in my spare bedroom to get the wrinkles out. I want to devote a few days to the carpet replacement, but I have a few other projects around the house to finish... this site does not help either. I'm becoming addicted. Anyway. Thank you for the compliments. I found the car on www.collectorcartrader.com a few years ago and flew out to look at it. It was located in Ripon, California. It is a desert there. Not too far from Modesto. The previous owner said it had no rust, I said yeah sure. Well, he was right it is 99% rust free. Only a little surface rust at the bottom of the tailgate on the inside. Roof was never off. He was asking $15,000 for it. I gave him $13,000 and we called it a deal. I love it. I arraigned for Passport Transport to bring it home and here she is. I really wanted the bronze/copper color but dark olive- or whatever it's called was my second favorite color. So far, I have replaced the lenses, grille, bowtie, K/5 emblem. All genuine GM parts. I replaced the wood grain trim too. That came out very nice. I have taken a break for a year, but I really want to get the interior in pristine condition. I am saving a few dollars for new CST panels and I want to repaint the roll bar. It has a few deep scratches on it. I'm not creative... I like to keep the truck looking stock inside. I'm even going to hide the stereo amps and speaker too. Should be fun.
A Blazer with the top off needs to look just as good on the inside as it does on the outside. Everyone pokes their nose over the bedrail and sees the brown carpet... "Oh, original carpet." I say, yeah, I gotta get new carpet. They almost fall over when I tell the paint is original too. The Rancho setup is has blocks in the rear, new springs up front. It rides a little bouncy. The short wheelbase does not help. I love the stance though. Thank you for your kind comments.

That's funny. That's probably the nicest compliment I ever got about this Blazer. Thanks, enjoy the pics. I'll take more and post them when progress is made.
