High beams don't work...
My high-beams have never worked on this truck. Since I've been checking out the front harness I've decided to try and fix them.
When I hit the floor switch while my headlights are on they simply go out. No high beams. Fuse is ok, so what circuit in the front harness is dedicated to high beams? Please don't tell me it's the headlight bulbs themselves... ------------------ '69 3/4 ton C20 2wd w/ 350ci/400THM and a wood bed! It could be the bulbs...but I suspect the switch. Lots of abuse and moisture there. Could also be corroded connectionat the switch.

Hmmm...oh yeah. Forgot about the whole "my cab floor is about to rot through" bit. hehe
I'll check the switch for power at both sides on and off.... ------------------ '69 3/4 ton C20 2wd w/ 350ci/400THM and a wood bed! '69 3/4 ton Custom 20 2wd w/ ORIGINAL 350ci/4sp Manual and a wood bed (parts beast). Seattle, WA. *See pics of my trucks and project at www.webshots.com!

Try replacing the dimmer switch and the connector that attaches to it. I think Chevy Duty has both the switch and connector. Let me know if that fixes it.

I lost both low beams once. grounding strap wasn't tightened up and the car grounded through the bulbs. Wierd but true.
