i change oil about everyday at my work but not many trucks with a 60s/70s 350 come in. i was wondering how much oil a 350 in my 70 chevy would take. my dip stick is broken and i am in desprate need of an oil change! thanks!

Re: how much oil?
According to my Haynes Repair Manual:
Engine Oil Capacity (with filter change, approximate) Small Block V8 = 5 Qts I'd scrounge around for a new dipstick asap too.

Re: how much oil?
With long filter = 5 qts, short filter = 4.5 approx.

Re: how much oil?
It should be 4 in the pan and 1 in the filter unless you use the wix 2 quart for a 366.
