Workable Electric Fan for C10
Was wondering if anybody has used an electric radiator cooling
fan from another vehicle on their C10 pickup. I've shopped around for an aftermarket setup and they seem pretty expensive. Guess the cost of electric fans has gone up! Has anybody made this upgrade? What make vehicle did you rob it from? Jim Mt Juliet |

Re: Workable Electric Fan for C10
Heard good things about late model 3.8 Taurus fans (last body style) and went and picked up a pair (3.8 has 2 fans) for little $. They fill up the radiator from side to side perfect and are 2 speed fans. Just need to make a shroud to make them work as good as they can. I'm sure you can install without a shroud as well.

If you do a search for electric fan, you will see the dozens of people that have done this mod, how they did it and what they used.

Re: Workable Electric Fan for C10
Well I did do a search, but searches generally produce a lot of other stuff that
you have to wade through in order to get the info you're really searching for. And I'm really only asking about junkyard type parts, not aftermarket parts. Just trying to save money! Jim |

Re: Workable Electric Fan for C10
I used the fans off of a Dodge Dynasty, the ones on an Intrepid look to be the same.
